Why You All Up in My Grill? You Don’t Even Know What’s Cookin’

Over the weekend I decided it was time for me to become domesticated and I mustered up everything that was inside of me, found a recipe online, went to the grocery store and actually cooked, all by myself. Our little girl is growing up.

I know I keep harping on the fact that Chipotle gave me food poisoning and I can no longer eat there, but with that option completely gone there is very little I can do by way of nourishment. So before it got all “survival of the fittest” in my apartment, eventually killing me off for a species of person that can actually fend for itself, I decided it was high time I learned a new skill.

Marathon Monday 2011

So as you all know I spent last year’s marathon going to work and taking a 2.5 hour lunch break and then leaving early to drink with people who actually ran the race and would be collapsing shortly. I also had one of the greatest encounters of my life with a drunk college student in a hot pink feather boa, who was practically sobbing whilst eating a slice of pizza outside of Pino’s. What could possibly top this???? I’ll give you some hints: Loin cloths, the Freedom Trail and something that looked eerily similar to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.

This Week’s Best Quotes from The Office

Either the writers have stepped up their game going into Steve Carrell’s Swan Song or Will Ferrell’s presence has put all the actors on point.

In “Training Day,” Michael Scott meets his replacement, DeAngelo (played by Ferrell), and becomes nostalgic for the place he is soon to leave. While not necessarily the funniest episode ever, it may have been my favorite of the season, because it seemed like everyone was back to their old tricks, instead of playing cartoon versions of themselves as they have all this season.
