Ugh. Summer’s Over.

Just in time for summer to end, my mom, my aunts and I found the most awesome secret beach on a walk Monday. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is, or how mad my aunts were that they didn’t find it 20 years ago – because when you have 10 children under the age of 10 crying and spilling juice all over the place, you want a place where they can play without killing anyone and/or decreasing the value of your home.

I take this as a sign that summer’s not ready to be over. It’s not time yet! But I am excited for the fall. Bring on September.

The Mooch Has Landed!

Just got word from Ft. Lewis, WA, and Matt Weisner is officially back from Iraq after a year away. Aunt Binkie, Uncle Kev and Deb are all there to welcome him home!

Matt left last September, and since he’s been gone he got engaged and got promoted. Capt. Weisner has a kick-ass bachelor party and an even better wedding waiting for him back in NY.

Glad to have you back Matty! Can’t wait to see you! And thank you to you and all the troops for everything you do for us.

Dad’s Second Annual 60th Birthday Extravaganza: A Camera Phone Diary

A lot went on at Denny Carroll’s Second Annual 60th Birthday Party last week in North Carolina, and a lot of it I can’t discuss. I’d say “what happens in North Carolina stays in North Carolina,” but it’s more like “I can’t remember what happened in North Carolina.” So I guess I have to let the pictures speak for themselves.

P.S. – The one thing I do remember is my kick-ass birdie putt on the 18th hole of the Denny Carroll Second Annual 60th Birthday Golf Outing. Apparently I won a trip to the Bahamas. Second place was a sleeve of used golf balls, so I’m not planning my trip just yet.
