The Year of the Blog: NoMad is Turning One!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the creation of this blog, and I just wanted to thank all of our readers for your comments, your ideas and your overall support. You rock!

Since March 4, 2010, we’ve received more than 50,000 total views, and have been Freshly Pressed five times! I’m sure we’re not breaking any records here, but for something I created to be more like a personal notebook than anything else, I have to say those numbers are pretty cool. And, while I certainly can’t pick out a favorite post (come on! these are like my children), I can say that I’ve had fun writing each and every one of them (except Clips for Coach; those are all Denny).

In just one year’s time we’ve been to Chicago, DC, North Carolina, Long Island and Martha’s Vineyard. We’ve been skydiving, done the Freedom Trail, cheered on runners at the Boston Marathon, visited “the Dunk” for the NCAA tournament, saw Army play Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium, and watched Carole King and James Taylor remind everyone why they’re legends. There’s been more engagements and weddings than I can count. We’ve welcomed a new baby girl into our family, and also said goodbye to some family members we truly miss. It’s been one hell of a rollercoaster year, and it might have just been the best one yet.

Here’s to many more birthdays for the NoMad Blog. The best is yet to come!
