Tomorrow Will be Too Hot to Function

There’s a heat wave making its way through the East Coast, and everyone is mad about it. I’ve run out of dresses to wear and have somehow finagled a questionable pencil skirt/tank top combo that is keeping me somewhat cool. People are pouring sweat on the streets (well, not in Cleveland Circle, where they just take their clothes off). Stores and restaurants are overcompensating with freezing cold air conditioning. And apparently Boston.com is predicting that it will be so hot out tomorrow – comparable to some kind of nuclear reaction – that only your sunglasses will save you.

Antiquing: The Highs and Lows of a Day at the Flea Market

This would be a low.

There’s a New Baby in Town!

On Friday, July 15, 2011 at 6:38pm, my cousin Debbe gave birth to the newest addition to the Turnbull family, Raegan Jeanette Weisner. She’s a beautiful 8 pounds, 9 ounces of a baby and I can already tell she’s gonna be a rip. Oh I just want to hug her!

Mom and baby are doing great, but I heard dad, the big man that he is, almost fainted. Oh Rae, I have some good dirt on your dad. Come to me anytime.

Congratulations to Matt, Debbe, all the Weisners and all the Dickinsons. Welcome to the world, baby girl! We love you to pieces already.
