It’s O-fficial: We’ll be Dropping July 17

Those being dropped: Ray Turnbull, Samantha Dommermuth, Kelly Carroll, Ray Dommermuth, R.J. Turnbull, Nicole Schulz and Denis Carroll.

As many of you have noticed, I’ve been running a countdown on the right side of this blog, noting the time when me, three of my cousins, one cousin-to-be, my uncle and my dad will be jumping out of “a perfectly good airplane.” Well it never felt so real until today, when I finally made the reservations. Mark your calendars kids, because on Saturday, July 17 at 9 a.m., I will be strapped to a (hopefully hot) tandem skydiver, basically saying, “it’s alright if I die today.”

I’ve never been so scared in my whole frickin’ life. Guys, I’m sorry. But it’s nice to know my family will humor me through mild-to-severe emotional breakdowns.

Classic, Random Laughter

Three years ago I was stuck in a graduate school newsroom with some of the craziest people I have ever met in my entire life. And if they’re reading this right now, they know I mean that as a compliment. Our days were spent either furiously writing in order to make deadline, or furiously searching Google and YouTube for the most awesome things ever. Rap lyrics represented in statistical charts and graphs is one of them (thank you Audrey for the blast from the past).

If I haven’t said it enough to you former BUDC-ers, I love you like a fat kid loves cake. Real talk, and there’s a bar graph to prove it.

I hear Zoo Bar is awaiting our glorious return.
