So every night I come home, plug in my little white-light Christmas Tree and crank up the tunes. There’s something truly soothing, and maybe even a little sad, about candlelight and Christmas carols. Some sappy, some silly, some poignant and some classics, the following are my favorite Christmas songs of all time, not necessarily because they’re musical masterpieces, but because they bring back memories of Christmases passed that will be with me forever. Scenes from the Green Line: Merry Christmas Edition
There’s a new guy at the Cleveland Circle T stop in the mornings (BTW: the CC T stop has literally become just like my elementary school bus stop), and for days it’s been bothering me that he looked so gosh darn familiar, but I couldn’t place him. Well, it has finally hit me: the Heat Miser from The Year without Santa Claus. How seasonally appropriate!
Is it creepy that I took a picture of him with my bberry? You betcha! But I’m embracing it.

The Tree is Up! The Holiday Season Can Finally Begin
Now that it’s December, and it’s actually appropriate to start celebrating Christmas, I had a Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony of my own last night. Yes, the tree is a bit smaller, and instead of ice skaters it overlooks my radiator, but it’s still pretty and makes my apartment all cozy and such. I may keep it up till March.
I do have a slight fear that my radiator is going to get really hot and set the tree on fire, burning down not only my apartment but the entire building and maybe even the entire street. But I guess that’s the price you pay for Holiday Cheer.
Now bring on the snow!
