I’m Confused. Is November Not Happening?

I don’t usually rant about something like this, mostly because it’s cliché, but also because I effing LOVE the holidays. However, events of the past few weeks have made me so absolutely enraged that I feel I need to get things off my chest.

First off, I was driving back to Boston Halloween night and I heard a freakin’ Christmas Carol on the radio. Halloween night! Truly this is a sign of the apocalypse. Of course, it was one of those lower FM stations that could probably play Christmas Carols all year round, but no one knows because the station only comes in clearly for approximately 17 seconds. God Bless Our Troops

Lt. Col. Gregory Gadson, former Army football player

While we all may differ on politics, religion, ethics, business, education…whatever, there is no denying that we need to honor the men and women who proudly serve our country and protect our freedom.

Visit www.missionserve.org to find a Veterans Day event in your neighborhood, and keep visiting the site after today to do your part in supporting our troops.

“It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.” – Father Dennis Edward O’Brien, USMC

Happy Halloween!!

Arrrrrrrggggg.

So at the risk of complete humiliation, I had to share this picture of a Halloween past with you all. So many things going on.

Apparently I’m a pirate. I don’t remember this costume at all. My mom is Minnie Mouse. I would like to point out that I do remember being Minnie one Halloween, so I’m guessing that costume was also mine. I mean, as you can tell, I was quite chubby.

It’s a cold, gray day in NY and I’m watching Ghost Hunters and scaring the crap out of myself. Hopefully you all are doing the same. Or preparing to dress yourself up as an 11-year old to try and procure some candy. I’m on board with that.
