NoMad Blog is on the Move!

So I guess I’m trying to break into the Guinness Book of World Records with the “Most Places Lived in a Five-Year Period.” Let’s see: since 2006, there’s been Brookline, Washington, DC, Highland Falls, Center Moriches, Jamesport, Highland Falls (again) and Boston. But if I stayed anywhere for any significant amount of time, then I wouldn’t be a true nomad, right? Right. And with that said, as of August 29, I will be taking my talents to New York City.

For those of you who care about my actual real life (which I know is not many, but bare with us), I’ll be working for the same company, in the same capacity, just in a different location. And I’ll be living with mom and dad for a while, so while we may be losing classic content like “Scenes from the Green Line,” I’m sure Jeanie and Den will be good for a few Shit My Dad Says moments (not to mention the people on the NYC subway are way effing weirder than Angry Engaged Couple).

There’s a New Baby in Town!

On Friday, July 15, 2011 at 6:38pm, my cousin Debbe gave birth to the newest addition to the Turnbull family, Raegan Jeanette Weisner. She’s a beautiful 8 pounds, 9 ounces of a baby and I can already tell she’s gonna be a rip. Oh I just want to hug her!

Mom and baby are doing great, but I heard dad, the big man that he is, almost fainted. Oh Rae, I have some good dirt on your dad. Come to me anytime.

Congratulations to Matt, Debbe, all the Weisners and all the Dickinsons. Welcome to the world, baby girl! We love you to pieces already.

Checkbook cover! With a map!

The quality of product definitely sees its share of lows here, but overall, I’m kind of in love with everything. Let’s look at the catalog!

Now, I would never, ever, consider the T to be high-end, but as far as state-run transportation businesses go, there are definitely some pieces here you could hang in your home. Take the Wall Art section, for example. Starting at a mere $15, you can be the proud owner of a 1910 System Map print. Who doesn’t want that?
