J-Hud’s ‘One Shining Moment’

Now, I’m just going to preface this by saying, I HATED the Luther Vandross version of this song. So, I was happy to hear that someone else was taking over. Did I love it, however? No. And here’s why:

1. The best part of One Shining Moment is the “beat of your heart” part, and she barely even said the word heart.

2. The second best part of the song are the drum beats at the end, where there are usually quick edits of the video. This was also missing.

3. BIGGEST PEEVE HERE: WTF are you doing IN the video, Jennifer? Are you a basketball player? A cheerleader? The Butler Bulldog? You took away at least 20 seconds of my NCAA tournament highlights with clips of you and your bangs in a fake recording studio. This deducted 50 like-ability points from your version of this classic song. If you come back next year, and that’s a BIG IF, don’t pull this shit again.

This is how it’s done:

    I still cried a little though…

Agree – studio shots, unecessary and not what it is about. Better than vandross version though.
