You know the Asian kid who liked to beat up on the Boston College men’s basketball team every year? Well, he’s now going to play in the NBA.

Jeremy Lin, recent Harvard grad and the university’s fifth all-time leading scorer, announced Wednesday that he has signed with the Golden State Warriors. Lin has been playing for the Dallas Mavericks summer league team, and was originally set to play in the San Francisco Pro-Am League, according to ESPN.

“This is a dream come true,” Lin said at a press conference yesterday. “I always wanted to be in the NBA and now I get to do it with the Warriors, the team I grew up watching.”

According to ESPN.com, Lin is the first Asian-American player to sign with the Warriors since 1947.

We don’t even let my Nana go to the supermarket on her own, and she’s only semi-famous.
