Dancing with the Stars Pairs ‘Em Up!

The next best thing to hearing which celebrities will be doing the tango on DWTS is hearing who they are going to be tango-ing with! On Good Morning America this morning, the much anticipated announcement of the reality show’s pairings was made.

I think the best (scratch that, the most interesting) pairing is going to be The Situation and Karina Smirnoff. Obviously, everyone who Karina is paired with is automatically a love interest, and I think even The Situation can agree that Karina is not a grenade. I also like Jennifer Grey with Derek Hough, because I really want them to recreate the Dirty Dancing finale dance.

As for the pairings I don’t like, Kyle Massey, a nondescript Disney actor, will be dancing with Lacey Schwimmer, by far one of the show’s most inventive choreographers. Also, Corky Ballas is back to dance with Florence Henderson, just like he did with Cloris Leachman. Bitch, they just called you old!

The rest of the cast falls out like this:

Quote of the Day

Great advice. You will be using this sometime this weekend:

“Be safe. Be seen. Wear a reflector when you drink.” One of my favorite people of all time, who shall remain nameless since he’s kind of a big deal and doesn’t need this coming up on a Google search.

All Movie Theaters Should Sell Beer and Wine

Eight years in Boston and I’ve never stepped foot inside the Coolidge Corner Theatre. On Saturday, I decided I needed to see The Kids are All Right before it left theaters, and the CCT was still playing it, so I made it a date. I had no idea what I was missing.

The CCT was built in 1906, and became a theater in 1933. It’s art deco all over the place, snd still runs in the vein of the old movie houses, with curtains opening right before the film starts, and movie shorts playing before the feature film.

On top of that, the CCT is clean, and less expensive than the other theaters in Boston. Lately, the disgustingness of the city’s movie theaters has really been getting on my nerves. It’s called a vacuum people! They play old films, cult films and indy films. They sell beer and wine, and just happen to be located next to Upper Crust and across the street from Brookline Booksmith.

If you haven’t been, visit. It’s awesome, I promise!
