Call Me, Maybe?

Ok. So last week, Justin Bieber threw down this video for his pal Carly Rae Jepsen, and, yeah, I took it as a challenge (and basically as a way to sing and dance around my apartment with a purpose). I called everyone I knew to get this thing going. Some of them might not be speaking to me anymore. But there were the brave few who knew that this World Premiere First Ever NoMad Blog Music Video Production was going to be epic. And they were right. The conversation went something like this:

Me: I want to make this video so I need you to record yourself lip syncing to this song and then send it to me.
Loved One: Done.

Now This is What I Call a Valentine’s Day Card

It’s always a good day when you come home to a lovely Valentine’s Day card in your mailbox. It’s also a good day when you find out that someone is willing to shiv anyone who disrespects you. These are the rules of the playground my friends, and they are simple and finite (I also love the Victorian garb; never mess with a bitch in a corset).

So Happy Valentine’s Day to all my beloveds. If you’re reading this, know that you hold a special place in my heart. And remember, love means never having to say you’re sorry for you didn’t shiv someone in the prison yard.

When GChat Conversations Go Terribly Wrong

It seems to me that more and more frequently, my well-intentioned gchats with one Audrey Marks veer off into a realm of absurdity that most sane people should really stay away from. Fortunately, we’re neither sane, nor do we think that any of the things listed below are absurd or ridiculous. Just as we believe our future band Oh, Hey Girl, which only performs cover songs of famous cover songs, will be extremely lucrative and one day lead to an E! True Hollywood Story two-part special. (You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.)

Today’s object of conversation, Joe Kennedy III and a meteoric rise to the White House for a new, modern version of Camelot. I cast myself as first lady, obviously. And, go.
