I Missed Dancing with the Stars and I’m Upset About It

So this is what I was doing last night instead of blogging about Dancing with the Stars. My apologies. However, I did wake up early to watch all the dances from last night’s episode so that I could give you something. I’m here to serve.

Basically, what happened last night was that between the waltz and the instant jive, J.R. proved his pudding and got straight 10s for everything he did: breathing, walking, talking, etc. He has great charisma and he’s a great dancer and I just love him so much. Was he perfect last night? I don’t know. But he definitely deserved high scores. It’s J.R.’s world and the rest of us are just living in it. I’m told Hope came out of her shell, but I still don’t like her so I’m not giving her any credit. Ricki and Rob were great, and Nancy was, eh.

Tonight I’m watching the elimination episode, and I wasn’t planning on writing about it, but what the eff is going on? It opened with basically a striptease by all the female professional dancers. Then, in the annual airing of the Kenny Mays and Jerry Rice-hosted Dancecenter, some of the jokes have been about gays in the military and anal sex. The Macy’s Stars of Dance performance was a tribute to Michael Jackson, which seems in poor taste timely considering the guy who killed him was just convicted. Have the producers of DWTS read the news lately? Thankfully, Flo Rida is there to make it all better, which isn’t really a sentence I thought I’d ever say before.

So Rob and Nancy are in the bottom, and I think I’m going to be saying goodbye to my love, Tristan, tonight. If Rob goes home it will be an injustice – he’s much better than Nancy! The music is playing. Tom Bergeron is stalling. Dun, dun, dun………………………………………..

And Nancy is going home. I’m ok with this. She did a great job and got much further than I would have thought. Bring Tristan back for more dances! Ok, now he’s giving a speech, which is kind of not done by the pros. He won’t stop talking. It’s getting uncomfortable. And Brooke’s not interjecting with her own anecdote! A wild night on DWTS! Next week folks!
