Creepiest. Thing. Ever.

So I’m innocently walking to work from the Back Bay train station after dropping off Alli Smith this morning, and I have to admit, I’m pretty beat and all I want to do is go to bed.

As I approach the corner of Clarendon and Stuart, I see this little creepster trying to entice people to park in his garage (if you know what I mean…and I think you do).

My first reaction was that I was still sleeping and this was some kind of silly dream. I really don’t like any kind of costume where the facial expressions do not change, i.e. the mask from Scream, or any clown that has its smile painted on, etc. My second reaction was that maybe someone was filming a “Coffee and TV”-like music video (they were not). My third reaction (it’s things like this that make me late for work) was to take a picture because maybe I was seeing things. But you guys are seeing this, right? Right?

Anyway, this is how I began my day. Ugh. There’s nothing creepier.

In the Round: Your Dancing with the Stars Recap

There are so many things going on tonight on DWTS. The dancefloor has been transformed into a round. The judges are giving out two scores. The Situation is showing off the abs, finally, and Bristol Palin has no pants on. There’s also only acoustic music, which apparently makes learning the dances really hard. Gonna be a crazy night ladies and gents.

And just as a sidenote: there was no recap last week because apparently the Pats were playing on Monday Night Football, and it has to be on every channel in Boston, regardless of what other people want to be watching. Stupid Boston. Ok. We won’t talk about this again.

Kurt Warner, Rumba: It’s Kurt’s anniversary, and he’s dancing the Rumba with a hot red head. I would not be happy about this. But Kurt’s wife seems like a cool chick, and she’s all like “hell yeah, go dance!” I like her. Kurt looks hot in his Rumba outfit. And he does have hip action! For some reason I thought the stage was going to spin. And it doesn’t – thank God. I probably would have vomited. So Kurt did ok. I think he’s gonna get some solid scores. Oh wait, there’s two sets of scores. Solid performance, maybe not solid technical scores.

Quote of the Day

Apparently there was a whole mess of crazy going on last night in the MLB playoffs. Just a few seemingly missed calls paired with a couple of game-changing hits and managers start getting ejected left and right.

You know who else was ejected last night? One of the players in the CAC’s B1 West Men’s 5v5 league. And then he wouldn’t leave the gym. Because that’s how we roll at the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club.

“Young hits a three-run home run to blow the game open. (And so, Joe Maddon picked up the first ejection from a postseason game by anyone since 2005.) Berkman hits a double that ended up bringing home the game-winning RBI for the Yankees. (And so Ron Gardenhire picked up the first ejection from a postseason game by anyone in about three hours.)” – ESPN’s Sportscenter Rundown
