Ummm, what?? Does anyone else find this statement profoundly disturbing?? While I understand the use of Twitter as a promotional tool, I pulled a Miley Cyrus and got off the bandwagon a while ago. I even set up this blog so that it automatically posts each entry to Twitter, and I don’t need to bothered with it’s inanity. So the fact that someone has the time to tweet while being “immediately fired” upon is absolutely absurd to me.

Just in Time for Summer

Coopers Beach, Southampton, NY

Coopers Beach, a beautiful natural landmark in the corner of the world some people like to call the Hamptons, more specifically Southampton, NY (more specifically Crazyville, Strong Island, at times) has been named America’s Best Beach according to cbsnews.com. And I have to say, I don’t disagree.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of taking a drive down Meadow Lane in Southampton on a hot summer’s day, you’d know that it’s not the gigantic houses that take your breath away, but the ocean views and white sand of Coopers Beach (and you’d also know that the really best time to visit is September, but don’t tell anyone I said that, they’ll ruin it for the rest of us).

I’m not entirely sure why, but this whole “blogger having an affair with South Carolina gubernatorial candidate” story is giving me a good chuckle. Today’s lesson: how to get a good scoop via texts and social media.
