2011 was a group effort. It was a tough year, and it was a long year, but it was also a year of a lot of new beginnings. It took a village to make 2011 happen.
From March Madness to March sadness to the weddings of my cousins RJ and Fallon, and one of my best friends, Katie. We saw the births of two new Turnbulls and learned of two more on the way. I said my latest goodbye to the great town of Boston, and finally, finally made New York City my home. Who knew 2011 would be such a roller coaster?
If anything, Christmas is all about love, family and a family’s love of beating each other into the ground in games of friendly competition. So when someone gets a Wii for Christmas, and that Wii package includes Just Dance 3, it’s only a matter of time until all hell breaks loose. I ate a lot yesterday, but it didn’t matter because I sweated most of it off through my Ugly Sweater/Turtleneck set. It wasn’t a cute look.

The Eve of the Eve is over. Nana’s first birthday in heaven has passed. I just sat down and watched Love Actually start to finish. The Pogues are playing throughout the house, cookies are being baked in the oven, my Ugly Christmas Sweater (with matching turtleneck) is laid out for tomorrow’s festivities. It’s officially Christmas.
