Taiwan Does Not Like Snooki

This just proves that not all cartoons are lovable. I’m not really sure why they couldn’t use actual footage from Jersey Shore, but the animation is life-like.

The Glorious Return of Pacey Witter

UPDATE: Pacey-Con Explained

Did I take a hot tub time machine back to 1998?

According to my inside sources (and by “inside sources” I mean New York Magazine), Joshua Jackson – who has done well for himself since the end of Dawson’s Creek, namely starring in Fringe and dating Diane Kruger – held a “Pacey-Con” outside of San Diego’s “Comic-Con” over the weekend.

Pacey-Con 2010: Capeside to San Diego, included Dawson-influenced music and Jackson in Pacey-era attire (which I love!). It’s still not entirely clear what the point of all this was (does there need to be a point?), but witnesses say that Jackson “handed out fan fiction he apparently wrote himself and took pictures with adoring female fans.”

Could there be a Dawson’s Creek movie in the works? There could be a Comic-Con twist since Katie Holmes is all up in Scientology’s grill now. If this doesn’t work out, how about Mighty Ducks 4? I just love you so much Joshua Jackson! FREE PACEY!

The Hills: Best Finale Ever?

Now I can’t speak to the entire episode, because I DVRed it and only watched the end, but how about that final scene? Great wasn’t it?

After all these years, through Laguna Beach and Newport Harbor (which was god-awful) to The Hills and The City, we’ve speculated about the “reality” of these reality series. We’ve chided MTV for vapid story lines and unrealistic characters. But we still watched, and MTV knew it had us, so they continued to produce these mind-numbing, maybe 15-minute shows, all the while the joke obviously being on us.

Bravo to MTV for pointing the finger back at the audience, and for having a sense of humor. While the Sopranos left us angry, while Lost left us confused, and while many other shows end with no resolution whatsoever, you went out on a perfect note.

Even when seemingly on the losing end, MTV always seems to pull it together to make itself iconic.
