So on Saturday, Wisconsin played Michigan State and Fox got a lovely shot of this Badger fan and his offensively awesome t-shirt. And then Jeanie picked it out, out of the 100 screen shots we saw in 30 seconds of crowd scanning. And then we rewound the tape, paused and took a picture. Family bonding. It’s what it’s all about.

Midnight Madness is Soon Upon Us!
So this post is a tad premature since we’re not technically at Midnight Madness just yet, but you know what? I have a wedding to get to this weekend in Houston and sometimes I just don’t have time for you people. There. I said it. Not that I don’t love you. Clearly I’m writing this early so that you all have something to read. So I do care. I just can’t be on top of everything, all the time…Don’t leave me. I’m nothing without you. I’ll be better. Ok. I’m done.
We’re nearing that perfect time of the year when college basketball springs into action. I got my St. John’s season tickets in the mail yesterday, and life is starting to feel right again. It seems like only yesterday UConn went on their great run to win both the Big East Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. I still hate them, but I love me a good sports story.
This Whole Big East/ACC Business Has Got Me All Upset
Approximately 7 wonderful years ago, I was a junior at Boston College. I was working, as most of you know, as a manager for the men’s basketball team, and the school and athletic department had just recently cut a deal to move from their ingrained spot in the Big East to the every-shade-of-blue ACC.
Well, there were some people who didn’t take this news well. And by some people, I mean UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun. So while BC did their farewell tour of the Big East Conference schools in the winter of 2004-2005, Jim Calhoun continued to spew venom our way. And I’m pretty sure he vowed he would never, ever, play us again. Ever.
Well that’s going to be pretty tough when your campaign to join the ACC ends up being successful, isn’t it Jimmy?
