Why You All Up in My Grill? You Don’t Even Know What’s Cookin’

Over the weekend I decided it was time for me to become domesticated and I mustered up everything that was inside of me, found a recipe online, went to the grocery store and actually cooked, all by myself. Our little girl is growing up.

I know I keep harping on the fact that Chipotle gave me food poisoning and I can no longer eat there, but with that option completely gone there is very little I can do by way of nourishment. So before it got all “survival of the fittest” in my apartment, eventually killing me off for a species of person that can actually fend for itself, I decided it was high time I learned a new skill.

Why Can’t You Stay Home with Me: The Worst Children’s Book of All Time

During my daily browsing of the Awful Library Books site (if you haven’t checked it out yet, you need to), I came across this gem, a book about children with disabilities (which is great, teaching kids about the differences we all have, but apparently the only handicap a child could have in the 1980s was being in a wheelchair – I’ve seen the special Saved by the Bell, I know what’s up).

Apparently 2001 Was a Very Good Year

I’m not saying I’m like, super famous, but this is the third time the Town of Highlands newspaper has included me in their “10 Years Ago” section. Again, I reiterate, there’s like 100 people in the Town of Highlands. And at 17, I was pretty active, mostly because I was trying to get into really good colleges. So there’s that. It just seems that every time I’m home for the weekend I see my name in ink. The paparazzi can’t be too far.

Let’s hope that 10 years from now I’ll be getting as much, if not more press. Also, Sherry Meche won the quiz game! They really need to bring that back. I could seriously use a $50 gift certificate to the Park Restaurant.
